John Zdanowski is a serial entrepreneur and venture capitalist who has led or arranged dozens of private equity and debt financings, dozens of rounds of venture capital, two IPOs, seven sales of secondary stock, sixteen acquisitions, and the sale of multiple companies—one twice. [1][2]

Zdanowski co-incorporated One Inc Cooperative and sits on its Board of Directors. He advises numerous startups founded by Citizens of One and is a co-creator of One Studio (incubator). He is active in One Place (community) and co-hosts Cooperative Currency. In July 2020, Zdanowski "retired from Egocentric Capitalism" to make space for Ecocentric Capitalism. [3]

He most recently co-founded and served as Managing Director of Assembled Brands where he was responsible for the deployment of their $100m fund investing in emerging consumer brands. [1]

Previously, Zdanowski was the CFO of General Assembly; a for-profit education organization that was sold for $412.5m in April 2018. [3] He was the CFO of Second Life as it grew from $10m to $80m. [4] He was the CFO of HouseValues as it grew from $20m to $100m in revenue where he led their $94m IPO in 2004. Earlier still, he co-founded Affinity Internet and served as the CFO where he raised more than $60m from investors include JP Morgan and Columbia Capital. Affinity provided web hosting to more than 200,000 businesses before selling to Hostway in 2007.
